Cancun International Airport receives an average of 320 flights a day and is a swift 90 minute drive from the beaches of Tulum. If you are thinking of a quick winter getaway to soak in some sun, you can hop on a plane and have your feet in the sand in just a few hours. Just to mention a couple, NYC to Cancun is just a 3.30 hour flight, Denver is just 4 hours. You can book a flight and a last minute hotel deal in a few clicks and recharge at the beach.


As of October of 2022 the Mexican government approved a law that ended daylight savings time in most states of the country except for the 33 northern border municipalities which will continue to change clocks simultaneously with the U.S. border neighboring states. The other two exceptions are the state of Quintana Roo, and Sonora

The Mexican Caribbean is located in the state of Quintana Roo, which includes world known destinations like Cancun, Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen, Puerto Aventuras, Akumal and Tulum as well as its beautiful tropical islands of Isla Mujeres and Cozumel. The Mexican Caribbean has established its own time zone aligned with US EST.
